Waste sculptures

For negotiated studio practice this year I’ve been thinking about utilising waste to make sculptures, so I spent a few weeks collecting certain waste that I had created myself such as

  • Tissue paper
  • reciepts
  • woodshavings
  • brick dust
  • sugar
  • ect

I liked the colour in the tissue paper one but I thought that roughly casting them in a plastic bag wasn’t the best way of showing them so the next one i cast them in a round box, below is an image of spare bits of plaster that I had cast and I thought that they looked really pretty, I think that that the next step is building a mold for me to cast uniform pieces in.
